| Cloudflare | Legacy | Cloudflare CDN | Content Delivery Network | IaaS | n/a | 2020 | 2020 |
In 2020 Omax Autos deployed Cloudflare CDN to accelerate delivery of its public website assets and to establish an edge delivery layer for customer-facing content. The Cloudflare CDN implementation was applied to the company website, and Omax Autos used the Content Delivery Network to address web performance and availability for its digital storefront and informational pages. Omax Autos is a 229 employee automotive company in India, and the deployment was scoped to the public web domain rather than internal applications.
The implementation used core Content Delivery Network capabilities, including edge caching of static assets, TLS termination at the edge, HTTP protocol optimizations, and compressed asset delivery to reduce payload sizes. Configuration work focused on cache-control policy alignment, origin cache rules, and compression settings such as Brotli and gzip, together with proxy-based routing to present Cloudflare CDN as the application-layer delivery point in front of origin servers. Operational controls included cache purge procedures and rule management to ensure content updates propagated through the edge network.
Integrations were limited to the public web infrastructure, with DNS routing directed to Cloudflare CDN and coordination between web operations and marketing for content invalidation workflows. Governance was implemented through role-based management of certificate and DNS changes, documented procedures for updating caching rules, and monitoring of edge behavior impacting the website. The rollout targeted customer-facing channels and impacted web operations, marketing content owners, and the teams responsible for site uptime and content delivery.
