| SAP | SAP R/3 | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2007 | 2007 |
In 2007, OrotonGroup upgraded from SAP R/3 to SAP ERP ECC 6.0 after an internal review of SAP due to concerns about cost, system value and user satisfaction. The implementation focused on stabilizing core ERP Financial processes and addressing performance and reporting issues that had hampered usability.
OrotonGroup moved SAP support out of house and outsourced application and Basis administration to CIBER, which eliminated inhouse SAP Basis expertise and shifted day to day change management to a ticketed helpdesk model. Small changes are executed through the CIBER helpdesk, medium sized enhancements such as a replenishment improvement are delivered by CIBER functional consultants, and larger initiatives follow a formal project methodology with a project sponsor, charter and detailed blueprint.
Configuration emphasis prioritized standard SAP functionality within SAP ERP ECC 6.0, with selective customizations reverted to standard processes where possible to reduce complexity. Functional coverage included financial processing and reporting enhancements, and replenishment configuration, aligned to retail operations spanning full price stores, factory outlets, concessions, wholesale and an e-commerce channel across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Malaysia.
Governance was formalized with small focused project teams of five to ten people, a steering committee that included the IT manager, business sponsors, CIBER representation and SAP involvement, and a budget driven scope control process that removed non essential requirements to keep projects on budget. The move to ECC 6.0 and the outsourced support model produced explicit outcomes noted by the company, including decreased operating costs over a three year period and increased visibility and productivity from the ticketed helpdesk, while the program emphasized returning custom work to SAP standard to improve operational efficiency.

| Frontier Software | Legacy | Frontier Software Chris21 Payroll | Payroll | HCM | n/a | 2008 | 2008 |
In 2008 Oroton Group implemented Frontier Software Chris21 Payroll as its core Payroll application. The deployment established Chris21 as the primary payroll engine supporting Oroton Group operations across multiple brands and jurisdictions.
The implementation configured standard payroll processing capabilities, employee records and payroll manager workflows consistent with Payroll systems, and supported multi-jurisdiction payroll and statutory reporting workflows for the regions in scope. Frontier Software Chris21 Payroll was used alongside time capture functions to reconcile hours and entitlements.
Integrations included a time and attendance link with TimeTEQ, enabling payroll runs to consume recorded time data from retail and regional sites. Operational coverage extended across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, China and Hong Kong, and supported payroll administration for three brands Oroton, GAP and Brooks Brothers, with payroll management activities performed from Waterloo, NSW, Australia.
Governance was centralized under a dedicated Payroll Manager role who administered Chris21 for cross-border payroll coordination, standardized payroll workflows and compliance processes across departments and brands. The implementation reflects an enterprise Payroll footprint aligned to multi-country retail payroll operations.

| FreeWheel, A Comcast Company | Legacy | FreeWheel Demandsuite | Agency Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019, OrotonGroup implemented FreeWheel Demandsuite on its public website, deploying the FreeWheel Demandsuite solution as a targeted Agency Management capability for digital advertising inventory and demand orchestration. The implementation was positioned on the Oroton.com storefront to centralize third party demand handling and advertising decisioning on the retailer site.
The deployment included configuration of core Agency Management functional workflows typical for the category, including ad inventory management, demand orchestration and campaign scheduling, and reporting workflows to support ad operations and marketing planning. FreeWheel Demandsuite was configured to manage publisher inventory and gate demand allocation, with instrumentation for campaign delivery tracking and performance reporting to marketing and e-commerce teams.
Operational coverage focused on OrotonGroup’s Australian e-commerce environment and involved marketing, e-commerce and digital merchandising functions to align ad demand with commerce experiences. The implementation emphasized on-site delivery, with the FreeWheel Demandsuite instance operating within the retailer’s web delivery layer to coordinate ad calls and inventory signals across the storefront.
Governance changes accompanied the technical rollout, establishing ad operations and campaign approval workflows to integrate Agency Management into existing merchandising and marketing processes. FreeWheel Demandsuite was therefore embedded as the primary Agency Management engine for on-site advertising control and campaign orchestration within OrotonGroup’s digital commerce organization.
