| Temenos | Legacy | Temenos T24 | Core Banking | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018, PermataBank implemented Temenos T24 as its Core Banking system, establishing a platform focused on T24 Core Banking Sharia capabilities to support the bank's Islamic banking product set and ongoing maintenance. The implementation is framed as a long-term operational program for the core banking application rather than a one-off project, with continuous upgrades and sustainment activities.
Operational workstreams for Temenos T24 centered on maintaining and upgrading the T24 Core Banking Sharia implementation, analyzing change requests based on business requirements, and carrying out development tasks derived from those requirements. Development followed formal SDLC practices, including requirements analysis, scripted test validation, technical troubleshooting, and documentation of deliverables to meet testscript acceptance criteria.
The implementation required close collaboration between IT teams, business analysts, and end users to validate solutions and resolve issues, and involved coordination with external vendors to develop and maintain system components. Functionally the effort covered core banking workflows consistent with Core Banking operations, including account processing, transaction handling, and product configuration for Sharia-compliant offerings, reflecting typical core banking functional modules and operational terminology.
Governance and rollout processes emphasized change request governance, testscript-driven acceptance, SDLC documentation, vendor-managed build and maintenance cycles, and ongoing production troubleshooting. Operational ownership remained with internal IT teams who managed releases, validated that development met test requirements, and coordinated vendor deliverables to sustain the Temenos T24 environment in line with business needs.

| Hyperledger | Legacy | Hyperledger Fabric | Blockchain Platform | Blockchain | n/a | 2021 | 2021 |
In 2021 PermataBank implemented Hyperledger Fabric as its Blockchain Platform for trade finance. PermataBank is the first bank in Indonesia to complete trade finance transactions using a blockchain system, deploying Hyperledger Fabric in collaboration with Contour, a blockchain-based company that connects banks and corporates across multiple countries. The vendor is Hyperledger and the implementation targeted trade finance workflows linking banks, suppliers and buyers, including corporate clients such as Chandra Asri.
The Hyperledger Fabric deployment emphasized permissioned distributed ledger capabilities, transaction endorsement and programmable chaincode to digitize trade finance transactions and associated documentation. Functional capabilities implemented included identity and access control for participant nodes, immutable transaction recording and audit logging, and programmable business logic to automate transaction validation and settlement steps typical of Blockchain Platform solutions. These modules supported secure, rapid data flow between counterparties and reduced reliance on paper-based exchange in trade finance processes.
Integration with Contour provided the network fabric for cross-institution connectivity and participant onboarding, while operational scope focused on the trade finance business function across PermataBank and its trading network. Governance and workflow changes centered on a shared trust model, participant access governance and coordinated onboarding of supplier, buyer and bank participants to the distributed ledger. PermataBank communicated explicit outcomes from the implementation, noting increased efficiency, optimized trade flows and acceleration of trade volumes within the digitally connected network.
