In 2019, Red Ventures implemented Workday Financial Management, an ERP Financial application, replacing Microsoft Dynamics SL. The Workday Financial Management implementation included Core Financials FDM, general ledger accounting configuration, Banking and Settlement, Inter-company processing, Tax, Customer invoicing, Projects and Assets modules. Functional configuration work emphasized business process configuration, custom validations, condition rules and calculated fields, along with the creation of basic, sophisticated and matrix custom reports to support finance workflows.
Integrations and data movement were handled through Workday integrations, document transformation, connectors and Workday Studio, with existing EIBs prepared and loaded to support mass transactions. Operational support was structured around a three person Workday Financials team responsible for responding to, fixing and resolving Workday Financials issues, while collaborating with cross-functional business partners to configure, prototype and test solutions.
Governance relied on Workday’s Business Process and Security Framework, standard methodologies for accuracy, and an agile collaboration model across diverse teams. Ongoing activities included reviewing, testing and training staff on Workday Financial Management feature releases, and providing end user support and training focused on process adherence and troubleshooting.
