Rivella Group selected SAP S/4HANA in 2018 as its ERP Financial core, replacing a legacy SAP platform that had been running on an Oracle database. The project centered on migrating the existing SAP landscape to the HANA in‑memory platform and preparing the business for S/4HANA-era functionality. GIA Informatik AG executed the migration and now operates Rivella’s SAP systems from its Oftringen data center; Aveniq is listed as the SI/VAR.
Implementation work included Tailored Datacenter Integration (TDI) infrastructure at Rivella, an initial sandbox migration to validate runtimes, and a staged cutover (development migration from Oracle to HANA, functional QA/integration testing, then productive go‑live). Functional scope emphasized a central planning tool for sales, promotion and investment planning and a set of performance‑intensive BI applications; HANA’s built‑in BW capabilities removed the need for a separate BW server. The program required adjustment and optimization of custom ABAP that exhibited long runtimes, and delivered explicit technical outcomes reported by the project team (substantially faster transaction and program processing and reduced storage through HANA compression), positioning the company for broader digital transformation and S/4HANA adoption.

The implementation was delivered in collaboration with smahrt consulting using an SME best practice template, focusing on standardized recruiting workflows across the Swiss consumer packaged goods company of 260 employees. SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting was configured as a Recruiting,Applicant Tracking System to centralize requisition-to-hire and candidate lifecycle management and to modernize applicant-facing career site experiences.
Configuration emphasized core recruiting capabilities typical of a Recruiting,Applicant Tracking System, including requisition management, candidate tracking, interview orchestration and offer workflow automation, with template-driven parameterization to accelerate deployment. Operational scope included HR and talent acquisition teams, hiring managers and applicant touchpoints, and governance was formalized for vacancy approvals, role-based access and template change control. The SME template approach standardized processes across recruiting stages and digitalized manual activities. As reported in the project notes, Rivella achieved increased efficiency, greater transparency and an optimized appearance towards applicants following the SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting deployment.
