Fi-Tek Legacy Fi-Tek HedgeTek Portfolio and Investment Management Investment Management n/a 2005 2005
In 2005, Sculptor Capital Management (previously Och-Ziff Capital Management) implemented Fi-Tek HedgeTek as part of its Portfolio and Investment Management stack. Fi-Tek HedgeTek was deployed to provide partnership accounting capabilities and to support fund level accounting and reporting within the firm’s broader portfolio and investment management operations. The implementation concentrated on partnership accounting, allocation and reporting workflows, and integration into portfolio accounting and monitoring processes. Fi-Tek HedgeTek was configured alongside in-house portfolio management dashboards and compliance monitoring tools referenced in the firm’s technology program, supporting trade cost allocation, FX hedging reporting and position level accounting workflows. Fi-Tek HedgeTek was integrated into a multi-application ecosystem that included Advent Geneva for portfolio accounting, Sungard Apex for financing arrangements, Syncova for margin reconciliation, Smartstream for position and cash reconciliation, Eze Castle order management and other proprietary systems. Integration points fed the enterprise master data management layer and the proprietary data warehouse that consolidated fund, partnership accounting, performance, risk, finance and treasury data for reporting and risk analysis. Governance and rollout were executed within an enterprise application infrastructure governed by a Sarbanes-Oxley compliant development and control framework, and guided by front office technology and business architecture oversight. The deployment supported cross-functional coverage across front office portfolio management, middle office accounting and reconciliation, treasury and CLO operations, and centralized report distribution through the firm’s reports portal.
