The SAP SuccessFactors Compensation module was configured to align with the Employee Central core HR model, implementing Compensation Management capabilities such as compensation planning, eligibility rules, pay component configuration, approval workflows and calibration processes. Configuration emphasized integration of compensation data with core employee records and centralized pay elements to enable consistent global policy enforcement. Workflows were structured to support country-specific eligibility while preserving a consolidated core model. Integration and operational coverage centered on Employee Central as the system of record, with Sonepar's HR and IS teams operating alongside ARAGO Consulting during pilots and rollouts in Germany and the USA. The program used a phased rollout by country, the geographic perimeter was extended after initial pilots, and by the end of 2020 after the US go-live for Employee Central the project was at the halfway point with more than half of 48,000 employees using SuccessFactors. Sonepar France participated in this group-level program and the SAP SuccessFactors Compensation implementation aligned with the wider global deployment. Governance relied on a centralized core HR model and phased rollout governance, with ARAGO Consulting and I-RH Partner supporting configuration, change coordination and operational handover to Sonepar's HR and IS teams through 2023. Process adjustments focused on standardizing compensation workflows and embedding country-level localization rules within SAP SuccessFactors Compensation to balance global policy control and local compliance.
