In 1968, the State of South Dakota implemented Infor Geac ERP to consolidate ERP Financial operations across state government accounting and fiscal workflows. The installation deployed Geac MSA Financial products and explicitly covered AP, PS, GL, BC, IE and CC, while also analyzing and converting existing in-house systems into the new package.
Configuration work focused on module setup and data conversion for AP, PS, GL, BC, IE and CC, accompanied by interface mapping and testing to preserve transactional continuity. Governance and rollout were managed by a small central team that supervised one to four persons, and the program included coordination of interfaces from more than 20 government offices to integrate distributed financial processes into the Infor Geac ERP environment.
