In 2024, University of Essex implemented Talech Analytics to centralize campus payments, reporting and reconciliation across multiple channels. Talech Analytics is deployed as an Analytics and BI application to aggregate transaction data from campus point of sale systems into unified reporting for finance and operational stakeholders.
The deployment used Talech point of sale across campus channels to feed Talech Analytics reporting and reconciliation capabilities, with bespoke reporting templates and transaction-level reporting referenced in the Elavon case study. Configuration emphasized report harmonization, role based access controls for finance and operational users, and automated reconciliation workflows to reduce manual consolidation. Functional capabilities included dashboarding, scheduled report exports, and audit able transaction trails to support departmental accounting and compliance.
Elavon acted as the SI/VAR and payments partner, facilitating payments processing and the solution deployment integration described in the source case study. Operational coverage encompassed finance, campus retail and catering operations, with governance changes to centralize reconciliation and reporting ownership within the finance function. The university reported improved finance and reporting visibility and security as explicit benefits from the Talech Analytics implementation.
