In 2018 Wag! implemented the BILL Financial Operations Platform to centralize finance operations and to address gaps in invoice, payment term, and contract data across its on demand pet services business. The deployment targeted AP Automation,AR Automation workflows for accounts payable and accounts receivable to support operations spanning 4,600 cities and all 50 states in the United States.
The BILL Financial Operations Platform was configured to run Bill.com Accounts Payable capabilities together with AR invoicing and payment orchestration, consolidating invoices with payment terms and contract metadata and applying automated approval and payment routing. Configuration emphasis included invoice capture, approval workflows, payment scheduling, and AR billing automation, bringing structured financial workflow and invoice lifecycle management into a single platform.
Integrations were implemented with Oracle NetSuite using the platform's accounting software integration to synchronize supplier bills, vendor payments, and receivable records with the general ledger. The cloud based deployment supported finance and operations teams, enabling centralized transaction visibility across departments and accelerating period end reconciliation.
Governance changes placed department leads as accountable owners for both revenue and cost outcomes, and processes were restructured to centralize invoice and contract linkage to payment terms.
