In 2021 Wells Fargo implemented SAP Ariba Invoice as part of a broader SAP Ariba full stack deployment, positioning the application within its AP Automation strategy. The program established a global template for end to end procurement and invoice processes, targeting governance and process standardization to address approximately 15 billion dollars in annual spend.
The implementation included Supplier Lifecycle performance, Sourcing and Contracts, Buying and Invoicing modules alongside SAP Ariba Invoice, configured to support supplier onboarding, performance tracking, strategic sourcing, contract management, purchase order orchestration, and invoice automation. The SAP Ariba Invoice deployment was integrated into a consolidated Ariba stack to provide a unified procure to pay workflow and to enforce standardized validation, approval routing, and exception handling across regions.
Architecturally the project consolidated SAP Ariba with existing Oracle and SAP ECC ERP systems, creating ERP integration points for master data synchronization, purchase order transmission, invoice posting, and payments reconciliation. The solution used Ariba templates and ERP connectors to normalize data and unambiguously route transactional flows between cloud procurement services and on premise ERP ledgers, preserving ERP finance and general ledger controls.
Operational scope encompassed global procurement and accounts payable functions, with rollout governance centered on templated process definitions, centralized policy controls, and role based approval workflows. Process restructuring emphasized standardized supplier lifecycle and sourcing practices to reduce variability in buying and invoicing operations, aligning procurement, AP, and finance stakeholders under a single AP Automation platform.

In 2020, Wells Fargo implemented Workday Absence Management. The deployment focused on configuring Workday Absence and Leave, Time Off, Benefits and Time Tracking to establish centralized absence workflows and time reporting across HR operations. Workday Absence Management was implemented as part of the Absence and Leave Management category and aligned with core human resources processes at the bank.
The implementation included configuration and operationalization of multiple functional modules, notably Time off and Time Tracking, Benefits, core HR Compensation, Time management, Onboarding and Payrolls. Workday Absence Management and related modules were configured to support absence lifecycle workflows, time capture and benefits eligibility orchestration consistent with enterprise absence management practices.
Integrations were a prominent element of the program, integrating workforce planning, Benefit, Payroll, Time and Absence Management within the Workday environment. The team designed and developed the PICOF integration to provide a payroll interface with ADP, enabling a structured payroll data exchange between Workday-managed time and absence records and ADP payroll processing.
Implementation work also encompassed security configuration and governance of HR and payroll interfaces, with controls applied to onboarding, compensation and absence processes. The project tied absence and time management into broader HR and payroll operations, emphasizing system-to-system orchestration and process alignment across benefits, payroll and timekeeping functions.

Applied Vision supported reporting workflows and accounting close processes, and the platform was configured to deliver unified ledger feeds and standardized report generation across sites.
Integrations were established with Wells Fargo client-focused applications to ensure client data consistency and to align agency workflows with front-office processes. The deployment covered North America brokerage operations and connected agency transaction records to enterprise client systems, enabling cross-system reference of client and policy data.
Governance and rollout emphasized standardized operational processes and centralized platform management, with change controls to align agency, finance and reporting teams. The deployment delivered a unified enterprise platform for improved reporting and operational consistency as described in the implementation notes.
