The deployment positioned Workday Absence Management within the broader Absence and Leave Management category and aligned the application with HR operational priorities and center of excellence requirements.
Configuration work focused on standard Workday constructs, including absence plans, eligibility and entitlement rules, absence calculations, and business process orchestration. The implementation included design, build, and test cycles for calculations, business processes, and reporting, with the Workday Absence Management configuration maintained alongside HCM, Compensation, and Reporting modules to ensure functional consistency.
Operational integration was executed inside the Workday tenant to preserve end to end data flows between Absence Management, Workday HCM, Compensation, and Reporting. The scope touched HR COEs, HR operations teams, and manager and employee self service workflows, with analysts maintaining a holistic view of cross functional impacts on configuration, reporting, and downstream HR processes.
Governance and sustainment were structured through an Agile systems analyst model, with responsibilities for issue tracking, testing, upgrades, and continuous improvement in data quality and integrity. The program emphasized partner engagement with COEs, rigorous testing of business processes and calculations, and ongoing user training and process refinement to support the Workday Absence Management rollout.
