In 2020, Zurich Insurance Company deployed EasyClaims to automate claims processing in Switzerland. The deployment used the EasyClaims automation module from Scalepoint's ClaimShop suite to enable fully automated online claims settlement and item replacement within the Insurance Claims Management domain.
The implementation centered on the EasyClaims automation module and a product catalog configured to enable straight through processing of claimant submissions and item replacement workflows. Functional capabilities implemented included online claim intake automation, automated settlement orchestration and item replacement handling, and claimant-facing digital workflow enhancements that reduced manual adjudication in the claims area.
Operational coverage was focused on Zurich Switzerland claims operations, with scope confined to the claims area and claimant touchpoints. The EasyClaims automation engine was embedded into claimant digital channels and internal claims workflows to enable automated decisioning and catalog-driven replacement processes while preserving insurer control over product configuration.
Governance and rollout emphasized claims process redesign and catalog configuration to support straight through processing and automated settlements. The deployment produced faster, often instant, settlements and improved the digital claimant experience through integrated automation and the product catalog.
