| Coupa Software | Legacy | Coupa Invoice | AP Automation | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017 Zurich Insurance Spain implemented Coupa Invoice, deploying an AP Automation SaaS application to centralize procurement and accounts payable workflows across its Barcelona health insurance domain. The project covered procurement, sourcing and contracting, travel and expense management and invoice capture, establishing Coupa Invoice as the front end for supplier invoices, employee expense reports and contract sourcing in the Zurich environment.
The implementation configured Coupa Invoice functional modules including supplier sourcing, contracts, product catalogues, purchasing, approval orchestration and invoice collection, together with expense management and accrual handling for GRNI. A RICEFW program was defined to provide a uniform interface API for capturing transaction data into SAP FI, General Ledger accounting and S4 HANA, and to support postings to either GL or HR accounts as required by finance processes.
Integrations were explicitly built to SAP FICO, S4 HANA and SAP FSCM Treasury for S2P flows, with inbound and outbound IDoc and BAPI interfaces exercised as part of integration testing. The operational flow routed supplier and employee submissions through Coupa Invoice, an approval workflow that validated purchasing terms and expense policies in SAP, creation of accounting documents in the SAP platform, and payment processing in SAP with payment confirmations returned to Coupa Invoice to finalize transactions. A subsequent RICEFW was scoped for additional interface work.
Governance and delivery were managed with a 30 person team from February 2017 to August 2019 under Agile Scrum methodology, with a Test Consultant role responsible for test management using Micro Focus, PostMan and Confluence. Testing spanned smoke, system, integration both SAP to SAP and SAP to non SAP, usability, UAT, performance including load and stress, and regression testing, supported by BPML for test organization and automation frameworks QTP and BPT with SAP add in.
Development and data engineering work complemented the integration scope, including creation of ABAP CDS Views, SQL Views and Calculation Views, HDB tables and HDBTI functions, table functions and SQL scripts to extract ECC data, and the packaging of HANA models into delivery units for transport across the SAP landscape. Functional responsibilities also included testing of FI postings for accounts receivable and accounts payable and alignment of Coupa Invoice transaction flows with SAP treasury and accounting processes.

| ServiceNow | Legacy | ServiceNow HR | HR Service Delivery | HCM | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018, Zurich Insurance Spain implemented ServiceNow HR to centralize HR case intake and employee service across its Spain operations. The deployment targeted HR Service Delivery for the company's approximately 2000 employees and prioritized standardized HR inquiry routing, case lifecycle management, and consolidated self service access.
The implementation leveraged core ServiceNow HR modules including HR Case and case lifecycle management, an HR Service Catalog, Knowledge Management, Employee Service Center, and configured onboarding and offboarding workflows. Configuration emphasized role based access controls, automated case assignment and SLA tracking, and reportable HR service metrics surfaced within the ServiceNow HR application to support operational HR workflows.
Operational ownership was assigned to HR service owners in Spain with governance established around service catalog maintenance, case lifecycle procedures, and change control for HR workflows. The scope focused on the HR function and Spanish sites, using the ServiceNow HR application to standardize request handling, knowledge publication, and HR service governance across the organization.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP Ariba Contracts | Contract Lifecycle Management | Content Management | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016, Zurich Insurance Spain implemented SAP Ariba Contracts as part of a Contract Lifecycle Management initiative across its sourcing and procurement landscape. The rollout targeted contract consolidation across 35 Business Units and aligned Finance operations, with an active user base of approximately 60K managed through Zurich's nearshore delivery center in Barcelona that reported to the Head of Enterprise Services Application Portfolio in the United Kingdom.
The SAP Ariba Contracts implementation was configured to provide a centralized contract repository, lifecycle workflows, approval routing, version control and metadata classification to unify previously disparate tools used by the business units. Key workstreams included making SAP Ariba EU GDPR compliant and establishing identity and access management, reflecting enterprise scale provisioning and role based access controls for the SAP Ariba Contracts deployment.
Integrations and adjacent programs were managed alongside the contract effort, including two large spend visualization projects, an initial integration using SAP Ariba Buyer and Analysis plus Microstrategy which was judged inaccurate and costly to operate, and a subsequent effort adopting Coupa AI Classification that remained ongoing. The program ran in parallel with a global Coupa commercial program and included decommissioning activities for SAP Ariba 8.2 and 9r1 to consolidate the contract landscape.
Governance was centralized through a global project management model and a standard adoption framework used to secure funding from local COOs and to harmonize business unit behaviors across sourcing and procurement. Operational changes included RPA driven finance workflow automation across US and EU units, and the program delivered identity, compliance and lifecycle consolidation capabilities within the Contract Lifecycle Management scope.
