Clarks | Retail | 4891 | $590M | United Kingdom | Amplience | Amplience Content Hub | Digital Asset Management | 2022 | n/a |
In 2022 Clarks implemented Amplience Content Hub as its Digital Asset Management solution as part of a broader commerce platform programme. The Amplience Content Hub deployment was delivered alongside a new PIM, Akeneo, within a multi phase programme that first delivered product data to new UK, IE, US and CA websites, US and CA retail POS systems and marketplaces.
The implementation centralized digital asset management capabilities, including a single asset repository, metadata and taxonomy management, version control, and content delivery orchestration to support localized merchandising assets. Amplience Content Hub was configured to govern product imagery, rich media, and localized content variants while exposing assets through content delivery APIs consistent with modern commerce architectures.
Integration scope explicitly included synchronization with Akeneo PIM to align product records and asset pointers, enabling Akeneo to serve structured product data while Amplience hosted authoritative media. Operational coverage spanned ecommerce teams, retail operations and marketplace feeds across the United Kingdom, Ireland, the United States, Canada and additional European websites and retail stores where product data was localized into five languages.
Project governance was led by a project manager from July 2022 to June 2024, using phased rollouts and change management coordinated with MS Project and colleague management practices. The programme won MACH Impact awards for Best Retail Project and Best Overall Change Project Grand Prix, underscoring the implementation of Amplience Content Hub as the enterprise Digital Asset Management backbone for Clarks.
