Bio-Botanica Manufacturing 300 $60M United States BatchMaster Software BatchMaster ERP Manufacturing ERP 2018 n/a
In 2018, Bio-Botanica implemented BatchMaster ERP as its Manufacturing ERP to standardize process manufacturing workflows and centralize business functions across R&D, Quality, Sales & Marketing, Warehousing & Distribution, Purchasing & Planning, and Accounting. The decision followed an internal assessment that their systems had become fragmented and the organization required an integrated, industry specific ERP that could house end-to-end botanical and nutraceutical manufacturing practices. BatchMaster ERP was configured to support end-to-end formula and batch management, sample vendor inspection, document management, inbound quality controls, and comprehensive QC and QA workflows. Production modules were implemented to orchestrate planning, scheduling and execution of custom extracting, blending, spray-drying, vacuum drying and milling processes, alongside paperless manufacturing and barcode execution. Built in GMP, SOP and GLP best practices were enabled to support maintenance of Kosher and NSF certifications. The implementation wrapped BatchMaster ERP around SAP Business One as an anchoring financial and operational ledger, enabling integrated material, inventory and accounting flows between manufacturing and back office. The deployment targeted consolidation of functionality expected to replace the companys CRM, LIMS, EQMS, WMS and potentially business intelligence tools, with a focus on delivering forward and backward traceability, consolidated customer and vendor history, and inventory visibility across multiple warehouses. BatchMaster ERP was positioned to house the lifecycle of items from R&D through approval, manufacturing and distribution. Project governance emphasized collaborative workflow mapping, with Bio-Botanica and BatchMaster spending several months outlining key process diagrams to be respected and implemented during rollout. The project team used web conferences for planning and set configuration priorities around reducing duplicative processes, eliminating manual paper based transactions, improving scheduling and planning, and increasing 360 degree data visibility across business functions. These governance and configuration priorities guided the phased rollout and quality control workflows.
Diversified Foods & Seasonings Manufacturing 250 $40M United States BatchMaster Software BatchMaster ERP Manufacturing ERP 2016 n/a
In 2016, Diversified Foods & Seasonings implemented BatchMaster ERP to centralize formula, production and accounting processes across its manufacturing footprint. The deployment targeted three continuous operations in Louisiana, Nebraska, and Alabama and aimed to support contract manufacturing, product development and commercial labels while consolidating manufacturing and financial control under a single Manufacturing ERP solution. BatchMaster ERP was configured with core process manufacturing modules including formula management, cost tracking, inventory control, lot traceability and integrated Quality Control and Assurance. The implementation included a Formula Approval workflow to enforce use of approved formulas in production, and phased activation of MRP and MPS functionality to align forecasting with mixed finished goods demand. BatchMaster ERP provided integrated order scheduling and MRP reporting to reduce manual planning tasks and support production scheduling. The implementation was delivered as BatchMaster Manufacturing for Dynamics GP, integrating manufacturing functions with Microsoft Dynamics GP for accounting and financial management. Operational scope covered production, quality, inventory and accounting functions across all plants, and the system’s lot traceability was validated during a surprise product mock recall executed by the Manufacturing Director. Reporting and traceability capabilities were highlighted as materially more reliable than the prior Sage PFW environment following Sage’s announced retirement of PFW. Governance and process changes included formalized formula approval and tighter QC test integration with production batches, which improved confidence in system data and reports among staff. Diversified phased in MRP capabilities rather than a big bang rollout, and early adoption was supported by functional parity with prior workflows, allowing the company to expand capacity and continue growth without immediate headcount increases. BatchMaster ERP is positioned to manage formulas, costs and inventory for Diversified’s ongoing manufacturing and accounting needs.
EFCO Corporation Construction and Real Estate 1300 $250M United States BatchMaster Software BatchMaster ERP Manufacturing ERP 2016 n/a
In 2016, EFCO Corporation implemented BatchMaster ERP, a Manufacturing ERP solution, paired with SAP Business One to provide a cohesive, comprehensive ERP platform across its process manufacturing operations. The decision to adopt BatchMaster ERP was driven by company growth and a stated desire to streamline processes into a single solution, goals expressed by EFCO leadership during selection. BatchMaster ERP was configured to address process manufacturing needs, with implementation work focused on formulation and recipe management, inventory control, production scheduling, lot traceability and quality management, capabilities that align with the Manufacturing ERP category for ingredient and specialty food production. The deployment emphasized documented recipe control and inventory visibility to support EFCO Products product lines including bakery fillings, mixes, beverage bases and specialty toppings. The deployment integrated BatchMaster ERP with SAP Business One to unify operational and business systems, while migrating transactional processing away from an IBM AS/400 environment into the combined BatchMaster and SAP Business One architecture. Operational coverage targeted manufacturing, inventory and order-to-cash workflows, and extended to finance and customer service teams to centralize data and transactional processing. Governance and rollout centered on consolidating disparate processes into one platform to improve communication and connectivity across the organization, an explicit outcome cited by EFCO IT leadership. EFCO positioned BatchMaster ERP as the core Manufacturing ERP to deliver better inventory control and improved customer service, priorities named by the company during the selection and implementation process.
