Boellhoff Group | Manufacturing | 3200 | $514M | Germany | Bpi Solutions | Bpi BPM Insipre | Business Process Management | 2014 | Bpi Solutions |
In 2014, Boellhoff Group deployed Bpi BPM Insipre with implementation partner Bpi Solutions to automate accounts-payable and invoice processing in Germany. The Bpi BPM Insipre deployment, classified as Business Process Management, entered production in spring 2014 and centralized invoice intake, routing and verification into an electronic workflow platform.
The implementation included document capture, verification and workflow orchestration capabilities, configured to recognize supplier invoices, apply validation rules and route items through multi-step approval and verification checkpoints. Configuration supported automated postings commonly referred to as "dunkelbuchung", enabling high-touch exceptions to be isolated for manual review while the majority of invoices followed automated processing paths.
Bpi BPM Insipre was integrated with associated capture and verification tools to eliminate paper routing and establish a centralized processing hub for Böllhoff's German accounts-payable function. Operational coverage focused on finance and accounts-payable teams in Germany, consolidating previously distributed invoice handling into a single electronic workflow environment.
Governance changes accompanied the rollout, instituting standardized electronic approval flows and verification controls and placing the system into steady use since spring 2014. The rollout achieved high automation rates of about 80 percent "dunkelbuchung", shortened invoice cycle times, increased transparency across workflows and reduced manual processing effort.

Operational coverage included invoice capture, data validation, exception handling, approval routing, and electronic posting workflows supporting AP departments.
Bpi Solutions executed the rollout that began in January 2006 and the project was realised within approximately six months. Governance changes introduced standardized approval routing, validation controls, and automated exception escalation to align operational process and compliance for Accounts Payable. The deployment delivered greater than 90 percent field recognition rates and achieved a reported ROI in about 1.5 years.
