Bielby | Construction and Real Estate | 170 | $43M | Australia | COINS Global | COINS Payroll | Payroll | 2024 | TimeFiler |
In 2024 Bielby implemented COINS Payroll in the Payroll category to support payroll operations for its construction and civil engineering workforce in Australia. The deployment focused on aligning the payroll team with time capture processes to reduce manual payroll corrections.
COINS Payroll was configured to handle core payroll processing, timesheet reconciliation, and pay calculation workflows typical of Payroll systems, with settings tuned for construction payroll cadence and labor costing. Configuration work emphasized automated timesheet validation and batch payroll runs to streamline pay runs and reduce manual intervention.
The implementation included a tighter integration between Bielby’s time capture system and Access COINS, implemented with TimeFiler as the system integrator. That integration fed captured hours into COINS Payroll to reduce handoffs between site time capture and the payroll ledger, cutting the volume of payroll rework reported by the payroll team.
Operational coverage centered on Bielby’s Australian payroll team and payroll functions across civil engineering projects, with process changes to reconciliation and approval workflows to reflect the new automated time to payroll feed. The deployment highlights COINS Payroll as the central Payroll application for Bielby, integrating time capture and Access COINS into a unified payroll processing flow.

Keltbray | Construction and Real Estate | 2000 | $835M | United Kingdom | COINS Global | COINS Payroll | Payroll | 2015 | n/a |
In 2015 Keltbray implemented COINS Payroll as part of a broader COINS ERP rollout that centralized Finance, HR & Payroll, Plant, Commercial and Procurement. The programme was executed against a controlled £3m annual budget and reported into the CEO, aligning the COINS Payroll deployment with corporate objectives and a formal digital strategy. Deployment responsibilities were organized under a newly created Business Systems function to provide governance and project prioritization.
COINS Payroll was configured as the payroll component within the COINS ERP stack, delivering core Payroll processing and a single source of HR and payroll data. The implementation consolidated multiple timesheet formats into a single electronic form, removing 32 distinct formats and eliminating quadruple handling, and instrumented RFI tagging and equipment inspection workflows to replace manual processes. COINS Payroll operated alongside Finance, Procurement, Commercial and Plant modules to provide integrated workforce cost and payroll accounting.
Integrations were explicit and included BP&F Adaptive Planning, an Intranet platform Sorce, CRM integration, and onsite Kronos Time & Attendance and other mobile supported systems to capture time and attendance and feed payroll inputs. The rollout covered 430 users across Finance, Procurement, Commercial, Plant, HR & Payroll and extended to onsite operational systems capturing field labour data. These integrations created end to end payroll and workforce data flows between COINS Payroll and planning, CRM and time capture systems.
Governance was delivered through a program management approach, with a dedicated Systems team composed of four Project Managers and three Systems Support staff to manage configuration, rollout and vendor negotiations. Vendor contract negotiations reduced costs by 30% and the COINS ERP programme was delivered on time and within budget to the defined user base. Explicit operational outcomes included 50% of invoicing processed through EDI, a consolidated single source for HR & Payroll, and the operational elimination of multiple manual timesheet formats driven by COINS Payroll.

United Civil Construction | Construction and Real Estate | 75 | $17M | New Zealand | COINS Global | COINS Payroll | Payroll | 2024 | TimeFiler |
In 2024, United Civil Construction implemented COINS Payroll as its Payroll application to manage weekly payroll for its New Zealand operations. The deployment focused on automating weekly payroll workflows and improving timesheet capture, moving away from manual timesheet handling through an integrated timesheet ingestion approach. TimeFiler was used alongside COINS Payroll to capture on-site timesheets and feed validated hours into the payroll process.
Configuration emphasized the timesheet-to-payroll interface, validation rules for missing timesheets, and orchestration of payroll runs to support payroll administrators and site timekeepers. The implementation integrated TimeFiler data flows with COINS Payroll, and the company reported fewer missing timesheets and faster payroll processing. Governance and process controls were established around timesheet submission windows and payroll run schedules to formalize operational handoffs between site teams and payroll staff.
