In 2017 Amplify Trading deployed CQG QTrader as an Analytics and BI application to support trading desk research and execution on its London site. The implementation used CQG QTrader for direct market access driven entry and exit strategies across FX, Equity, Fixed Income and Commodities, combining macroeconomic forecasting with intraday execution and market data analysis.
CQG QTrader was used to perform order entry and execution, market data visualization, charting based technical analysis and analytics driven portfolio construction. The intern-level program built a long term portfolio of 12 diversified assets and developed medium term risk mitigation and execution strategies, using CQG QTrader workflows for trade placement, position monitoring and analysis under both technical and fundamental lenses.
Operational scope centered on the trading desk and research functions in London, with strategy outputs presented to senior traders as part of formal review workflows. Implementation governance included program-level competitions and commission-based trade facilitation, and the documented outcome from the program was a 58 percent return on investments earned during the internship competition while using CQG QTrader.

Operational coverage extended beyond London to provide remote support for the Hong Kong office and Brazilian satellite office in Sao Paulo and Miami, while collaborating with the Chicago office that supported an additional 40 plus users. Server administration responsibilities included Exchange and Active Directory, and backup orchestration used eVault with constructed jobs and subtasks for scheduled backups.
Operational governance emphasized incident logging and closure, escalation via problem tickets to third party vendors, and remote support using SolarWinds Dameware. Day to day support also encompassed procurement and installation of new hardware and software, on site VIP user support and routine troubleshooting to maintain continuity of trading operations while CQG QTrader served as the primary Analytics and BI trading terminal.
