Ali Supermarket | Retail | 3700 | $1.1B | Italy | Digitelematica | Digitelematica Marketsuite | eCommerce | 2021 | n/a |
In 2021, Alì Supermarket implemented Digitelematica Marketsuite as its core eCommerce platform for the Alì per me online shopping service. The implementation narrative builds on an incremental rollout that began with pilot store launches in 2018 at Tombelle, Via Chiesanuova and Via Saetta in Padua, moving toward broader regional coverage in Padua during the same year.
The deployment of Digitelematica Marketsuite included defined front end and back end modules, with front end capabilities such as EBSN Front including a promo engine and purchase limits, cart management, search, a Production Manager and PIM/DAM module, and customer care. Back end functionality focused on click and collect and store picking workflows, plus a Supplier Logistics interface, and architecture preparation for stock management and internal relocation of goods.
The solution design specified picking infrastructure and device integration, including back office computers for order execution monitoring and palmtops for product pickup with optimized routing to support multi order execution by department. Supporting operational tooling implemented with the platform included customer reports, mapping reports and statistical reports on stockout, and a shopping order breakdown mechanism that separates dark store fulfillment from point of sale fulfillment.
Rollout and governance used a phased, store by store approach with local communications tied to each store to allow employees and customers to learn the service, and to tune operational processes. Digitelematica delivered a full service stack including hardware such as computers, point of sale devices, smartphones and printers integrated with the Marketsuite platform, reducing the need to coordinate multiple suppliers and centralizing ecommerce, promotions, picking and payment workflows.
The project remained in consolidation after initial pilots, with explicit rollout milestones in 2018 and an articulated target to reach 3% of sales in coming months as part of scale up across the Padua area. Digitelematica Marketsuite continues to serve as the eCommerce platform supporting online sales, customer care, promotions management and order fulfillment for Alì Supermarket.

Basko | Retail | 1500 | $430M | Italy | Digitelematica | Digitelematica Marketsuite | eCommerce | 2019 | n/a |
Basko implemented Digitelematica Marketsuite in 2019 to modernize its online shopping service on basko.it, deploying a web-based eCommerce application to support the supermarket and superstore chain of the Sogegross Group. The deployment covered Basko's commercial footprint, roughly 60 stores with areas from 500 to 3,000 m2, concentrated in Liguria with a growing presence in Lower Piedmont and the northwest regions, and was intended to extend online ordering and assisted counter sale capabilities.
The implementation used Digitelematica Marketsuite as a modular system, with front-end modules including EBSN Front as a promotional engine and purchase limit manager, cart management, search, Production Manager and PIM DAM capabilities, and a Customer Care module. Back-end functionality focused on click and collect, specifically Store Picking and a Supplier Logistics Interface, enabling order processing from acquisition through fulfillment and supporting a catalog of over 6,000 products and payment by online transaction or cash on delivery.
Architecturally the solution is delivered as a web technology stack orchestrating front-end commerce workflows and back-end store picking and logistics interfaces, with explicit support for pick up at a preferred supermarket or self service pick up at automated locker points. The integration points documented are the Production Manager and PIM DAM for product information management and the Supplier Logistics Interface for fulfillment orchestration, aligning commerce, store operations, and supplier flows.
Governance and operational rollout were managed to align digital commerce with in-store processes, affecting eCommerce operations, customer service, store picking teams, and promotional merchandising. The deployment positioned Digitelematica Marketsuite to centralize promotional rules, cart and checkout flows, and customer care workflows, enabling coordinated order handling across online and physical channels.
Results reported by Basko emphasized an expansion of customer adoption beyond initial expectations, noting evolving consumer habits in Italy and increased usage of online supermarket services. The implementation reinforced Basko's position in regional food eCommerce, preserving assisted counter sale service while adding modular online ordering and pick up capabilities within the eCommerce application.

Grupo Poli | Retail | 1657 | $701M | Italy | Digitelematica | Digitelematica Marketsuite | eCommerce | 2021 | n/a |
In 2021, Grupo Poli implemented Digitelematica Marketsuite to expand its eCommerce capabilities across the retail and wholesale network. The deployment of Digitelematica Marketsuite targeted online order management and marketplace orchestration within the companys commercial stack, aligning with the eCommerce application category and the operational needs of Grupo Polis sales and logistics functions.
The implementation configured standard eCommerce functional modules, including order management, fulfillment orchestration, catalog and pricing workflows, and store level picking coordination. Digitelematica Marketsuite was integrated into the existing application footprint, connecting to the MeRSy ERP and MCash point of sale front end, and interoperating with Digitelematicas Shop Online module for online order handling and Store Picking for in store fulfillment.
Integration scope extended to surrounding operational subsystems that already formed Grupo Polis ecosystem, including voice picking with Vocollect of Honeywell, SIGEP Transport for logistics transport orchestration, BOARD BI for business intelligence, 4PRICE pricing management, ECON Suite 2 and WebGate for ancillary commerce processes, JDoc document management, and Nxi Sales for agent network functions. The rollout supported wholesale sales, Cash and Carry front end operations, multiple warehouses including five automated warehouses and a food processing laboratory, and mobile agent applications used by the field sales network.
Governance and operational controls were delivered in line with existing IT administration practices, leveraging a GDPR designated system administrator, system hardening and security tooling, high availability and backup procedures on IBM Power i platforms, and cross environment data replication. Key user training and user assistance were provided to operational teams, reflecting ongoing application administration and integration responsibilities rather than a standalone point solution.
