The deployment includes a Zendesk integration that links AssetSonar asset records to ITSM tickets, providing item-level service history directly inside the ticketing workflow. Operational coverage extends to custody and location tracking across 22 tracked locations, supporting onboarding and offboarding logistics and enabling tailored return and shipping arrangements based on exact asset assignments.
Governance was implemented through controlled access to the EZO AssetSonar system, producing a trusted single source of truth for IT and management reporting and closing information gaps that previously existed. Workflow changes focused on closed-loop lifecycle management where asset service history drives decisions about repair versus retirement, and standardized reporting feeds into IT budgeting and executive reporting.
Explicit outcomes reported by BDS include improved forecasting and budgeting accuracy based on warranty and purchase-date reporting, faster access to reliable asset data for management, time savings for IT staff through integrated ticket workflows, and the ability to identify and remove repeatedly failing hardware from circulation using item-level service history in EZO AssetSonar.
