In 2011, SPAL Automotive implemented Impresoft Movisped as its departmental logistics application. The deployment positioned Impresoft Movisped within the company Logistics Management stack to support material flow and distribution workflows tightly aligned with manufacturing operations.
Implementation work focused on configuring Impresoft Movisped modules for departmental logistics and supply chain execution, encompassing order orchestration, warehouse movement tracking, and shipment scheduling to meet production line interfacing requirements. Configuration and automation efforts were scoped by area and department managers to reflect operations, logistics, supply chain and distribution business functions.
Impresoft Movisped was integrated with the MES, the JDEdwards Enterprise One ERP, and the Quarta quality software to exchange production, inventory, order and quality signals. Business intelligence access to Impresoft Movisped data was established through SAP BO 4.2 reporting and by extracting data with PL-SQL on Oracle and T-SQL on SQL Server for forecasts, reports and statistics.
Project governance was executed by the internal IT organization in collaboration with Process Engineering and the IT Director, coordinating suppliers and software developers for quotes, analyses and delivery timelines. Operational ownership and rollout planning were organized around manufacturing and logistics area managers, with the IT Project Manager responsible for selecting tools, allocating development resources and meeting agreed timeframes.
