In 2020, the United Kingdom Home Office deployed iProov Authentication to support the EU Settlement Scheme, integrating smartphone based facial verification into immigration onboarding. iProov Authentication is an Identity and Access Management (IAM) application used to scale remote identity checks for immigration services.

The implementation was delivered by Entrust in partnership with WorldReach Software and with support from ReadID, establishing an operational integration chain between the Home Office enrollment portal and iProov verification services. Architecture centered on cloud hosted biometric verification services accessible by applicants via mobile devices, supporting peaks of tens of thousands of applications per day.
Operational scope covered the EU Settlement Scheme immigration onboarding process across the United Kingdom, touching identity verification, case processing intake and digital identity assurance functions.
