European Reliance Asset Management Banking and Financial Services 35 $5M Greece KlarityRisk KlarityRisk Paragon Portfolio and Investment Risk Management 2015 Finvent
In 2015, European Reliance Asset Management deployed KlarityRisk Paragon as its Portfolio and Investment Risk Management solution to centralize risk analytics, scheduling and regulatory reporting. The Athens based asset manager implemented Paragon alongside Advent Portfolio Exchange APX, Moxy order management and GLX general ledger interface to create a single integrated front to back operating platform that supports funds, private portfolios and mutual funds. KlarityRisk Paragon was configured to provide advanced Value at Risk calculation algorithms, a simulation methodology engine, automated scheduling of executions, and a report generation interface used for stress and back testing, parametric and simulated VaR, what if scenarios and pre and posttrade risk analysis. The deployment emphasized standard technologies and transparent methodologies, enabling quality assurance and compliance workflows to be instrumented directly inside the Paragon environment. Architecturally Paragon was integrated with the APX back office so that Paragon automatically retrieves position and trade data from APX, writes calculated risk metrics back into APX, and produces combined reports and dashboards to safeguard daily flows and remove manual spreadsheet processing. The implementation was delivered with support from systems integrator Finvent, and operational coverage included fund and client portfolio risk operations in Athens and the firm’s servicing teams. Governance and process changes included scheduled execution of risk runs, transparent regulatory reporting pipelines and the embedding of compliance checks into daily operational workflows. According to the firm’s management the combined Advent and KlarityRisk setup automated previously manual procedures, freed staff to focus on client servicing, improved operational efficiency and provided scalability to add assets and new clients with minimal workflow impact.
Statens Pensjonskasse Banking and Financial Services 400 $50M Norway KlarityRisk KlarityRisk Paragon Portfolio and Investment Risk Management 2009 Finvent
In 2009, Statens Pensjonskasse implemented KlarityRisk Paragon to establish a dedicated risk management layer within its investment operations. The rollout positioned KlarityRisk Paragon as the firm’s Portfolio and Investment Risk Management solution alongside its existing Advent stack, and Finvent acted as the implementation partner for the integration work. The implementation focused on replacing spreadsheet based risk models with KlarityRisk Paragon’s risk analytics, daily valuation and scenario analysis capabilities, and stress testing functionality. The Paragon deployment was configured to support hedging constructs such as options and to enable daily refreshes of risk status, allowing investment operations to update exposures on a routine basis rather than intermittently. KlarityRisk Paragon was integrated into an end to end architecture where Advent Portfolio Exchange APX served as the technology hub and Advent Direct Data Services ADDS provided a unified data feed, ensuring automated delivery of positions and market data into the risk system each day. Operational coverage included the Middle Office, portfolio managers and trading workflows, and the risk outputs were mapped into reporting feeds intended for governance review and eventual board reporting. Governance and process changes emphasized elimination of manual spreadsheet interventions, stronger control over input data, and daily operationalized risk checks to support regulatory capital assessment activities. Explicit benefits documented during the implementation included streamlined data management through ADDS, improved operational control from Paragon, reduced spreadsheet risk, and straightforward integration between APX and KlarityRisk Paragon that enabled automated daily risk updates.
