In 2020 Delaware Electric implemented NISC ABS as its ERP Financial application to centralize accounting and financial operations for the Cooperative. NISC ABS is provisioned to support the Finance & Accounting department, consolidating transactional processing, statutory reporting, and audit support under a single ERP Financial platform.
The implementation configured core ERP Financial capabilities including accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, monthly bank reconciliations, plant and property recordkeeping, work order audit support, corporate credit card administration, and support for inventory counts. Budgeting workflows were integrated with the Cooperative's budgeting software and the system was used to maintain subsidiary records for tracking monthly power cost and reconciling the power cost adjustment account.
Operational workflows implemented in NISC ABS include daily cash transaction handling such as initiating and approving wire transfers, voiding checks, issuing stop payments, clearing checks, and processing checks and ACH payments.
