In 2015 Deepak Group deployed Pelco VideoXpert Video Surveillance System across its manufacturing operations. Pelco VideoXpert was configured to provide centralized video management, camera discovery and configuration, continuous recording, live monitoring and playback, and role based user access controls consistent with a Video Surveillance System. The implementation placed VideoXpert server components on the site production server infrastructure and coordinated recording storage and file server sharing as part of the configuration.
The installation integrated directly with Pelco IP cameras of wireless Pelco make and relied on the existing networking infrastructure, including wireless and fiber optic links, for camera telemetry and video streams. Authentication and user provisioning for Pelco VideoXpert were managed through Active Directory, with domain user ID creation, organizational unit management and password administration handled by the on site IT team. Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager administration and antivirus policies were maintained across six Deepak Nitrite Ltd sites during the same operational window.
Operational governance remained with the Site Engineer in charge and the FMS third party, who provided ongoing technical support, production server maintenance and ERP support alongside VideoXpert operations. Governance controls emphasized AD based access, OU policy enforcement and coordinated configuration management for camera and server updates across the covered sites.
