In 2018 famila-Handelsmarkt Kiel implemented Pimcore DXP for Content Management to power a mobile first, regionally focused customer facing website. The relaunch was managed by Junge Haie GmbH and prioritized a user centric layout that preserves the regional charm of famila stores while aligning the online experience with the in store brand image.
The implementation established Pimcore DXP as the central Content Management platform, with a site layout built for full responsiveness and local relevance. Functional modules implemented include market selection driven by postal code or browser geolocation, local persistence that saves a user selected market after leaving the site, a notepad shopping list that stores entries locally on the website, and an editorial recipe world where recipes are imported from famila data and enriched inside the CMS.
