In 2017, Ikeja Electric Nigeria added Quickteller as an online payment channel to allow customers to pay energy and non-energy bills via card and mobile channels. The Quickteller implementation used Interswitch Group’s payments platform to extend the utility’s Payment Processing footprint, integrating online and mobile acceptance into the company’s billing and finance workflow across Nigeria.
Operationally the deployment configured Quickteller as a customer-facing payment gateway supporting card and mobile money flows, payment capture, and settlement workflows typical of Payment Processing solutions.
