Sage Time and Attendance was configured to support core time and attendance capabilities, including employee time capture, shift and schedule management, paid time off accruals, timesheet approval workflows, and payroll data export. Configuration emphasized labor distribution to job and cost codes to support construction project accounting, and automated routine approval routing to reduce manual timesheet reconciliation.
The implementation integrated Sage Time and Attendance with existing HR and payroll systems used by the company, including Sage HRMS and Sage 300/Timberline payroll, and it was coordinated alongside established timekeeping and leave tools such as Sage Insperity Time Star, HireTouch, JJ Keller and Gradience FMLA Manager. The deployment supported a multi pay cycle environment for a 950 employee clinic network and accommodated two semi monthly staff payrolls plus one monthly physician payroll processed in house, aligning time capture with payroll schedules.
Configuration and modules emphasized time capture, exception management, scheduling, accrual and leave tracking, pay code configuration, and audit trail functionality that supported staff and physician pay rules. Sage Time and Attendance administration was assigned to payroll specialists who managed system configuration, maintained pay rules, and ensured accurate time to payroll mappings across staff and physician populations.
Operational handoffs and data coordination were executed with Sage 300 Payroll and HR tooling in the environment, and Tennessee Oncology maintained administrative usage of Sage HR Actions and view only access to Sage HRMS for HR record validation. The Time and Attendance system coexisted with Time Simplicity for alternate time capture workflows and Org Plus for organizational data reference, enabling consolidated wage reporting via Excel, Access, and Crystal Reports for payroll processing.
Governance was operationalized through the payroll office in the Greater Nashville Area, which remitted tax payments, reconciled and filed quarterly payroll taxes, reconciled and submitted W2s, processed garnishments, performed onboarding and termination entries across payroll systems, and maintained position control data and audit trails to support compliance and payroll auditing.
