Integrations were executed through a Shared service platform, implementing goods movement interfaces between SAP and non SAP systems and multiple logistics interfaces to downstream and reporting systems. The technical footprint included enhancements to RFC, EDI, FTP and file based interfaces, Idoc processing, PLM to SAP ECC replication for BOM data, POS interface work, a gift card project, and a barcode interface for production and warehouse processes, with a S/4HANA 1610 proof of concept addressing retail business process transformation.
Governance and operationalization included supplier onboarding using SAP SLC and BRF plus workflow, activation of user exits and BAdIs based on plant requirements, setup of plant jobs with appropriate variants, and factory calendar configuration for new and existing plants. The project also produced quick reference guides, delivered user trainings and workshops, and provided ongoing Procure to Pay team business operations support as Apple expanded SAP Retail functionality across EMEA and APAC and rolled out a global mobile solution for store inventory, goods receipt, store transfers and physical inventory processes.
