CloudSigma | Consumer Packaged Goods | 35 | $4M | United States | Storpool | Storpool | Cloud Storage | 2016 | n/a |
In 2016, CloudSigma implemented Storpool as its Cloud Storage platform to provide primary block storage for its IaaS cloud. The deployment was scoped to support the companys IT infrastructure and cloud operations across 19 locations.
The implementation used Storpool Fully Managed Services and an SSD-hybrid storage configuration to deliver production block storage. Storpool powered more than 1PB of capacity across 50+ storage nodes, supplying block volumes for VM provisioning and persistent compute workloads.
Operational integration centered on the IaaS control plane and provisioning workflows, centralizing storage provisioning, replication and capacity management within the Storpool platform. Functional modules inferred from the case study include block volume provisioning, high availability replication and SSD-hybrid tiering to balance performance and capacity.
Governance adopted a managed services model with Storpool responsible for ongoing storage operations and SLA delivery across CloudSigmas sites. CloudSigma reported a ~15% increase in gross margin and improved performance following the Storpool implementation.

Dustin Sverige | Distribution | 200 | $570M | Sweden | Storpool | Storpool | Cloud Storage | 2020 | n/a |
In 2020, Dustin Sverige deployed Storpool as its Cloud Storage platform. Dustin consolidated disparate VMware and Hyper-V estates into a KVM and OpenNebula stack, using Storpool for primary and secondary storage across its Northern Europe footprint in the IT infrastructure cloud process area.
Storpool provided scalable, API-driven storage clusters and fully managed support to enable multi-site deployment and improved service delivery. Configuration work centered on software defined storage orchestration, automated provisioning through storage APIs, and establishing primary and secondary storage tiers to meet availability and replication requirements.
The implementation integrated directly with the KVM virtualization layer and the OpenNebula cloud control plane, consolidating workloads that had been running on VMware and Hyper-V into a unified infrastructure stack. Operational coverage included Dustin Sverige sites in Northern Europe and impacted infrastructure management, platform engineering, and service delivery teams.
Governance and rollout emphasized centralized storage management and standardized provisioning workflows, supported by Storpool managed support to sustain multi-site operations. The program reduced vendor lock-in and lowered TCO as part of the stated objectives and supplier reporting.

RapidCompute Pakistan | Communications | 150 | $4M | Pakistan | Storpool | Storpool | Cloud Storage | 2022 | n/a |
In 2022, RapidCompute Pakistan deployed Storpool as the primary storage platform for its enterprise-class public cloud. The deployment targeted the IT infrastructure and cloud process area and was intended to increase flexibility, lower TCO and simplify operations for Pakistani enterprises.
Storpool was implemented as the canonical Cloud Storage layer, providing distributed block storage, multi-tenant provisioning and API-driven volume lifecycle management consistent with enterprise cloud storage architectures. Configuration work included storage pooling, replication and automated failover policies to support tenant workloads and align with public cloud resiliency requirements. The application name Storpool is used to manage storage provisioning, maintenance windows and operational performance within RapidCompute cloud operations.
The engagement included Storpool-assisted migration and ongoing managed support, covering migration of customer volumes and sustained operational support for cloud operations teams. Operational scope focused on RapidCompute's enterprise-class public cloud and Pakistani enterprise customers, with storage operations absorbed into infrastructure provisioning and customer support workflows. The deployment positioned Storpool as the central storage service consumed by tenant provisioning and capacity planning processes.
The deployment was publicly announced in December 2022 and included documented migration and support handover processes. According to the announcement RapidCompute reported improved reliability and zero storage-related downtime since implementation.
