Global Pharma Tek | Life Sciences | 350 | $50M | United States | Oracle | Oracle BI Publisher | Analytics and BI | 2018 | n/a | In 2018 Global Pharma Tek implemented Oracle BI Publisher as part of its Analytics and BI footprint to support reporting and reconciliation activities tied to an Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP data conversion program. Oracle BI Publisher was provisioned as the document and batch reporting layer to produce reconciliation and operational reports alongside OTBI for interactive analysis. The deployment architecture centered on Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP environments with Oracle BI Publisher connected to non production and production tenants, enabling conversion code testing in lower environments then promotion by the DevOps team for production execution. Data conversion artifacts and templates referenced in the implementation included FBDI and HDL styles for bulk loads, extraction and staging processes for Master Data and transactional loads, and standardized reconciliation report templates produced from Oracle BI Publisher. Functional scope for Oracle BI Publisher encompassed Finance, Supply Chain Management and Procurement reporting, aligned to conversion activities for General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Project Costing, Fixed Assets, Accounts Receivable, Accounting Hub, Procurement, Order Management and Product Management. The implementation covered historical data conversion, open transaction conversion, defined order of conversion and environment configuration, with BI Publisher reports used to validate conversions and support business sign off. Governance and process changes were formalized through owned process flows, data maps, and standard definitions for cross functional data conversion governance, a data cleansing approach based on industry best practices, and monthly KPIs for tracking change requests and conversion quality. The program design emphasized reusable architecture for ongoing conversion cycles, documented reconciliation processes, and controls to capture and resolve conversion errors prior to production runs, with Oracle BI Publisher serving as the audited reporting mechanism. | |
