Destination Imagination Non Profit 25 $2M United States Adobe Systems Adobe Learning Manager (formerly Adobe Captivate Prime) Learning and Development 2021 n/a In 2021, Destination Imagination deployed Adobe Learning Manager to centralize volunteer training across its global network. Adobe Learning Manager is the organization’s primary Learning and Development platform, used to standardize onboarding and interpretation of competition rules for 35,000 volunteers spanning 32 countries. The implementation was led by the Educational Alliances and Training team based in Cherry Hill New Jersey, and targeted team managers and appraisers as primary user groups. The deployment emphasizes interactive content creation and course management, with Adobe Captivate used to author simulations, scoring exercises, quizzes, and gamified learning. Adobe Learning Manager hosts mandatory modules such as Keeping DI Participants Safe, modules on team budget management, and a course library that Destination Imagination expands by 28 to 32 new offerings per year. Course configuration leverages assessment scoring, mandatory quizzes, and self guided learning paths to align volunteers on competition guidelines and program policies. Adobe Captivate integration is explicit, enabling the Educational Alliances and Training team to convert authored content directly into Adobe Learning Manager courses without intermediary tooling. The platform delivers content on desktop, laptop, and mobile devices and has been localized into eight languages including Arabic, French Canadian, Korean, Mandarin, Polish, Spanish, Turkish, and Ukrainian to extend reach across affiliates. Operational coverage includes established markets and under resourced communities, providing asynchronous access for volunteers anywhere. Centralizing training on Adobe Learning Manager established governance through mandatory enrollments, standardized curricula, and quiz based verification to ensure consistent interpretation of rules. The training team uses platform usage data and volunteer feedback to iterate curricula and has enabled platform collaboration capabilities to allow team managers and appraisers to compare experiences and share best practices across regions. Rollout preserved optional in person sessions where local health guidance permits while making online courses the default accessible option. As a result Destination Imagination reports greater consistency in how 35,000 global volunteers are trained and an expanded curriculum catalog delivering between 28 and 32 new modules annually. The organization states that 9,500 volunteers completed approximately 11,000 courses in the prior year, that annual course participation is doubling, and that projects failing to meet organizational guidelines have dropped significantly since adopting Adobe Learning Manager. These outcomes support Destination Imagination’s objective to teach critical thinking and equitable competition practices.
