Lundbeck | Life Sciences | 5450 | $2.7B | Denmark | SAP | SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central | Core HR | 2020 | GP Strategies | In 2020 Lundbeck implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as the core platform for its Core HR program, aligning HR systems under a single cloud-based employee data model. The program was architected under an IT strategy and global roadmap for HR Solutions, with GP Strategies engaged as the systems integrator and an IT Lead responsible for SuccessFactors delivery and overall program governance. The SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central deployment covered standard Core HR capabilities, including centralized employee records, organizational management, position and job structures, and automated workflows for Performance & Goals, Recruitment, Onboarding, Compensation and Variable Pay. Workstreams included configuration of module-specific business rules, role-based provisioning, and orchestration of performance and recruitment lifecycle processes to support HR and Talent Acquisition functions. Integrations were designed to connect Employee Central to third party systems and to co-exist with the previous SAP HCM HR environment during transition, with explicit architecture work to manage data synchronization and identity and access flows. The program also included a validated learning management integration, with the Solution Architect responsible for validation activities to meet life sciences compliance expectations. Governance combined a centralized IT lead and solution architecture oversight with a global roadmap for phased rollouts and change control, emphasizing configuration management and validation traceability for regulated processes. The initiative positioned SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as the primary Core HR application supporting HR, talent, recruitment, learning, and compensation functions across the organization. | |
