In 2018 RTX Corporation Aerospace deployed Ceva Matrix SCM-TMS from CEVA Logistics as its Transportation Management system to centralize shipping execution and transportation workflows. The implementation positioned Ceva Matrix SCM-TMS as the primary Transportation Management application supporting logistics and shipment execution for depot and customer site operations. The deployment emphasized transportation planning and shipping execution capabilities common to Transportation Management systems, including carrier selection, shipment documentation, shipment tracking, and orchestration of direct order shipments that included classified material. Ceva Matrix SCM-TMS was configured to support shipping workflows tied to depot activities, wholesale spares, residual spares, tools, test equipment, and consumables handled at the NISSC depot. Integrations were explicitly implemented with SAP PRISM for goods receipt processing and with the Wide Area Workflow WAWF database for government receipt and invoice records, reflecting cross system information flow between transportation functions and finance and receiving operations. Operational coverage included NISSC depot and customer sites, and logistics staff used Ceva Matrix shipping software alongside SAP PRISM to coordinate transportation solutions and interface with buyers on vendor deliveries. Governance and procedural controls were anchored to Federal Acquisition Regulations FAR 52-245.1 and required IUID tagging and WAWF entries for accountability of government property. The rollout integrated quality control for subcontractor logistics and centralized the main source of transportation solutions for direct order projects, while subject matter expertise in unreceivable record handling and DPAS asset training supported compliance and handoff between receiving, disposition, and transportation teams.
