In 2019 Grilld implemented CVCheck CheckPoint for BackGround Screening as a component of a People Systems Roadmap to support rapid hiring across its 140 restaurants in Australia and Indonesia. The initiative was launched alongside a new Head of Talent role tasked with transforming internal talent processes and system ownership.
CVCheck CheckPoint was configured to deliver core background screening capabilities including identity verification, pre-employment screening workflows and consolidated report generation, aligning with common BackGround Screening functional patterns. The implementation emphasized automation of screening triggers and the staging of screening results to inform offer adjudication and onboarding decisions.
Explicit integrations were established between CVCheck CheckPoint, LiveHire, Vieple and FlareHR to create an end-to-end candidate experience, with screening events linked into the ATS and assessment outputs correlated with HR records for reporting. Operational coverage was centered in the talent acquisition function and extended to restaurant hiring managers across the Australian and Indonesian estate.
Governance was executed via the People Systems Roadmap, with the Head of Talent overseeing rollout, standardizing screening workflows and instituting reporting governance. Stated outcomes included a stronger candidate experience, meaningful reporting, removal of hiring pain points and the formation of a high-performing Talent Acquisition team.

Governance changes accompanied the deployment, led by a newly created Head of Talent who established standardized hiring workflows, a People Systems Roadmap cadence, and Talent Acquisition operating practices. Explicit outcomes reported in the program included an improved candidate experience, meaningful reporting for people leaders, removal of hiring pain points, and the formation of a high performing Talent Acquisition team.
