Dicks Merchandising & Supply Chain Distribution 1800 $13.0B United States Blue Yonder Blue Yonder Advanced Store Replenishment (ex JDA Advanced Store Replenishment) Inventory Management 2012 n/a In 2012, Dicks Merchandising & Supply Chain implemented Blue Yonder Advanced Store Replenishment (ex JDA Advanced Store Replenishment) as its Inventory Management platform to centralize store replenishment and allocation processes. The deployment supported allocation and distribution workflows for more than 500 stores, aligning store-level inventory with merchandising and planning functions within the distribution organization. Blue Yonder Advanced Store Replenishment (ex JDA Advanced Store Replenishment) was configured to execute allocations and weekly replenishment cycles, leveraging JDA-Arthur Allocations for merchandise assignment and JDA E3 for replenishment order generation. Configuration and operational use emphasized inventory control to support sales, gross margin, and inventory turn, and included rules-based replenishment and demand pattern recognition to identify selling patterns and improve purchase opportunities. Operational integrations and coverage included explicit use of JDA-Arthur Allocations and JDA E3, monitoring of shipping and receiving of purchase orders within replenishment workflows, and vendor collaboration to manage lead times and fill rates. Reporting and analysis workflows used Microsoft Access and Excel to create business analysis reports, and sales analysis inputs were used to adjust current and future replenishment plans across the store network in the United States. Governance and process change included cross-functional partnerships between Buyers and Planners to optimize product placement and to maintain monthly financial plans, supported by a Certified Training Manager for Allocations and Replenishment. The implementation included internal training programs, including Excel training offered company wide, to embed replenishment procedures and reporting practices into operational governance.
