Apps Purchases: 10+ Million Software Purchases
Founded in 2010, APPS RUN THE WORLD is a leading technology intelligence and market-research company devoted to the application space. Leveraging a rigorous data-centric research methodology, we ask the simple B2B sales intelligence question: Who’s buying enterprise applications from whom and why?
Our global team of 50 researchers has been studying the digital transformation initiatives being undertaken by 2 million + companies including technographic segmentation of 10 million ERP, EPM, CRM, HCM, Procurement, SCM, Treasury software purchases, aggregating massive amounts of data points that form the basis of our forecast assumptions and perhaps the rise and fall of certain vendors and their products on a quarterly basis.
Apps Run The World Buyer Insight and Technographics Customer Database has over 100 data fields that detail company usage of emerging technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, IoT, Blockchain, Autonomous Database, and different on-prem and cloud apps by function, customer size (employees, revenues), industry, country, implementation status, year deal won, partner involvement, Line of Business Key Stakeholders and key decision-makers contact details, including the systems being used by Fortune 1000 and Global 2000 companies.

FNSS Defense Systems | Manufacturing | 850 | $100M | Turkey | IFS | IFS Supply Chain Management | Supply Chain Management | 2015 | n/a | In 2015, FNSS Defense Systems implemented IFS Supply Chain Management. The deployment extended a long-standing collaboration with IFS that began in 2009, positioning IFS Supply Chain Management as a core element of the companys digital backbone and as a platform used in all critical operations across FNSS sites in Turkey and regional offices in Malaysia and Oman. The implementation configures IFS Supply Chain Management alongside core IFS ERP modules to support project-based production workflows, project costing and procurement orchestration. The environment is used to extract guide data from engineering and historical projects for bid preparation, to manage material consumption and supplier quotations, and to produce manufacturing bills of materials MBOM for production planning. FNSS also runs custom applications that are integrated with IFS and operates a Manufacturing Execution System application that delivers real-time tracking and production progress to the IFS environment. Integrations are explicit and bi-directional, the PLM system is integrated with IFS via web services to push new parts and engineering change requests into procurement and production, and a supplier portal used by more than 300 suppliers is integrated with IFS to enable bilateral supply chain communication. A business intelligence portal that surfaces key performance indicators draws most of its information from IFS, providing senior management with concise operational views. The IFS platform also supported secure remote access during the COVID-19 pandemic, enabling continuity of contract management and project oversight. Governance and workflow transformation focus on tighter contract and project cost control, delivering accurate base cost information for bids and enabling project managers to detect potential cost and schedule deviations early. FNSS has articulated plans to upgrade its IFS deployment and to roll out a PLM Digital Continuity module to enable concurrent engineering, where design improvements and manufacturing instructions are created in parallel to reduce lead time. Reported benefits from the implementation include adoption of a project-based production model, easier management of project costs, bidirectional real-time information flow throughout the supply chain, shortened delivery times, sustainable agility, improved access to key decision data and ease of use for end users. | |
