Vancouver International Airport Transportation 880 $439M Canada IBM IBM Maximo Inventory Management Inventory Management 2015 n/a In 2015, Vancouver International Airport deployed IBM Maximo Inventory Management to establish centralized control over airport inventory and supply chain processes, using the Inventory Management application to govern stock handling across airport operations. The deployment targeted operational inventory and asset management use cases within the Vancouver Airport Authority, aligning the application with supply chain workflows used by the airport's supply management function. Configuration and functional scope centered on inventory control, stock categorization, and analytical workflows for storage, handling, distribution and pricing analysis. IBM Maximo Inventory Management was used to analyze inventory to determine appropriate storage, handling, distribution, and pricing strategies, and to surface discrepancies for corrective action. Operational coverage included supply management and asset management teams, where staff used IBM Maximo Inventory Management to verify the integrity of asset and inventory data and to enforce airport security protocols during inventory handling. The implementation supported routine inventory verification and distribution workflows, integrating inventory data into day to day supply decisions and asset records. Governance emphasized data integrity checks and security compliance, formalizing processes for inventory verification and handling to ensure consistent adherence to airport protocols. Workflows were structured to support ongoing asset data validation and to provide the supply management function with repeatable procedures for storage, handling, distribution and pricing decisions.
MAS Seeds Consumer Packaged Goods 880 $219M France SAP SAP IBP Advanced Planning and Scheduling 2021 TeamWork In 2021, MAS Seeds implemented SAP IBP, an Advanced Planning and Scheduling application to support its Sales and Operations Planning process. The initiative aimed to make reconciliations between demand and supply more reliable and faster while replacing end of life applications including SAP APO and the company forecasting tool. The SAP Integrated Business Planning implementation covered a broad functional scope, explicitly including S&OP orchestration, forecast management, and the production master plan, with integrated calculation of financial indicators to surface forecast value. The design leveraged SAP IBP Excel integration to align business user workflows, and the program delivered a blueprint followed by four one month agile development sprints, unit testing phases, and a concentrated three week testing and adjustment window. TeamWork was engaged as the system integrator to deploy SAP IBP across MAS Seeds, with a big bang deployment at the beginning of June that put SAP IBP into operation across the company scope and all subsidiaries. The initial production focus targeted the company flagship crops corn and sunflower, and rollout activities included training sessions in French and English to accelerate user adoption and operational readiness. Governance and operational support moved from hypercare into a TMA contract with TeamWork, enabling iterative evolution of the SAP IBP configuration through subsequent maintenance and enhancement batches. MAS Seeds supply chain, forecast to stock, and procure to pay functional areas were explicitly involved, and business leadership participation was used to drive training and acceptance. According to MAS Seeds, SAP IBP helps reconcile demand and supply with reliable and continuously updated data, and ongoing evolution work is planned to extend the solution to the group s broader seed portfolio.
