Central Dauphin School District Authority | Education | 2100 | $198M | United States | PowerSchool | PowerSchool eFinancePLUS HR | Core HR | 2018 | n/a | In 2018, Central Dauphin School District Authority implemented PowerSchool eFinancePLUS HR as its Core HR application. The deployment addressed the district payroll function, centralizing bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll processing while supporting related payroll accounting and statutory reporting workflows. PowerSchool eFinancePLUS HR was configured to handle payroll processing, payroll accounting, accounts reconciliation, report generation and personnel record management. Configuration emphasized payroll schedules for both bi-weekly and semi-monthly cycles, automated reconciliation routines and role based access controls targeted to the payroll supervisor and Business Office staff. Reporting capabilities in the application were used to produce the accounts and reports that support payroll execution and month end accounting needs. Operational coverage included the Payroll, Human Resources and Business Office functions across the Central Dauphin School District Authority. The payroll team continued to use Microsoft Office and Excel for data manipulation and reporting and maintained complementary records in FileMaker, creating file exchange and manual import export touchpoints between PowerSchool eFinancePLUS HR and departmental tooling. The implementation supported standardized payroll to accounting handoffs and reconciliation practices for district financial records. Governance centered on a dedicated payroll supervisor responsible for accurate execution, preparing and reconciling payroll accounts, and sustaining process improvements and documentation. Rollout and operational controls prioritized secure record keeping, clear workflow ownership for semi monthly and bi weekly pay cycles, and maintaining working knowledge of the payroll system across the Business Office. | |
