Petco Retail 28000 $1.7B United States Oracle Oracle Fusion Cloud Risk Management and Compliance Governance, Risk and Compliance 2022 Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) In 2022, Petco implemented Oracle Fusion Cloud Risk Management and Compliance as part of a broader finance systems program led by Tata Consultancy Services and built on Oracle Cloud technology. The deployment targeted the Governance, Risk and Compliance domain and was aligned with objectives to deliver greater scalability, real-time analysis, and an enhanced user experience for finance and accounting teams across the organization. The implementation bundled Oracle Fusion Cloud Risk Management and Compliance with Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials and Oracle Enterprise Performance Management to modernize financial accounting and planning workflows. Configuration work included re-engineering the chart of accounts for multi-channel retail and franchisee management, automating compliance controls and risk monitoring, and embedding integrated planning capabilities to reduce manual plan adjustments. Architecturally the program used a cloud tenancy model for a unified Oracle Fusion suite, with TCS’s Oracle Centre of Excellence driving configuration, workflow orchestration, and security hardening. The deployment emphasized configurable workflows and controls orchestration, enabling centralized policy enforcement and audit trails within the Oracle Fusion Cloud Risk Management and Compliance application and related financial modules. Governance changes introduced during rollout focused on adherence to regulatory compliance and standards, redesigned finance process flows, and operational change management to minimize business disruption. TCS provided program delivery and global coordination, enabling staged cutovers and process handoffs between finance, accounting, planning, and service operations across Petco’s network of pet care centers. Documented outcomes stated by the program included a new scalable financial system, a dynamic chart of accounts to support future growth, improved operational efficiency, enhanced security posture, and identified cost savings as part of the ERP cloud transformation. The Oracle Fusion Cloud Risk Management and Compliance implementation therefore served as a governance and control backbone for Petco’s transformed finance and planning environment.
