Australian Childhood Foundation | Non Profit | 150 | $17M | Australia | Microsoft | Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central | ERP Financial | 2019 | Evolution Business Systems (EBS) | In 2019 Australian Childhood Foundation initiated a project to replace MYOB AccountRight and implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as its core ERP Financial platform. The decision was driven by national finance reporting needs for roughly 160 staff and full reach across every Australian state and territory, with the Board and National Executive making financial management a strategic priority. The implementation focused on core financial modules and reporting configuration, including general ledger, accounts payable workflows, accounts receivable automation, invoicing schedules, and dimensional accounting. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central was configured with Dimensions to enable program and state reporting, and dashboards were provisioned on the Business Central home screen to surface P&L, balance sheet, overdue invoices, and cash position to finance and executive users. Reporting and analytics were operationalized through Jet reporting for scheduled executive reports, and the organisation noted potential and early-stage linkage to other Microsoft products such as Power BI to extend visualization and analysis. Business Central was used in a remote-access mode so finance staff could operate from office or home, supporting continuity during the pandemic without changing core workflows. Evolution Business Systems EBS acted as the implementation partner, leading scoping, configuration, training, and go-live support. The project moved from product demonstrations in late 2019 through selection and rapid deployment, with weekly project meetings and hands-on consultant support that emphasized correct dimension structure and user training to reduce reliance on spreadsheets. Outcomes reported by finance leadership are explicit and operational. Month-end close contracted from two weeks to three to four days, Jet reports deliver board-ready P&L and balance sheet outputs within a day, invoicing runs are automated and take approximately two hours to process each morning, and accounts receivable turnaround has improved. The solution delivered faster, more consistent reporting and remote accessibility for the finance and corporate services functions.

Gippsland Lakes Complete Health | Healthcare | 500 | $70M | Australia | Microsoft | Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central | ERP Financial | 2020 | Evolution Business Systems (EBS) | In 2020 Gippsland Lakes Complete Health implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as its ERP Financial system, replacing Microsoft Dynamics AX and engaging Evolution Business Systems (EBS) as the implementation partner. The rollout targeted core finance functions with a primary focus on accounts payable automation and overall financial alignment across the Corporate Services Department. Implementation activity coincided with Finance Officer Accounts Payable responsibilities from Oct 2020 to Jan 2023, providing operational ownership for invoice processing redesign and vendor invoice intake. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central was configured to support general ledger processes and accounts payable workflows, and an OCR program, Continia, was integrated directly into Business Central to automate invoice capture and matching. Configuration work included mapping of invoice approval flows, vendor master adjustments, and automated posting rules to reduce manual touchpoints. The Continia integration delivered a documented 95% paperless process and contributed to enhanced organizational financial alignment as part of the accounts payable modernization. Operational coverage centered on the Corporate Services Department accounts payable function, with process standardization for invoice intake, validation, and posting into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Governance changes included appointment of a Health and Safety Representative within Corporate Services during the implementation period, aligning corporate process ownership with day to day financial operations. Evolution Business Systems provided implementation services including system configuration, Continia integration, and go live support for the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP Financial deployment.
