Torrid Retail 8000 $1.3B United States Oracle Oracle Retail Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service Inventory Management 2017 n/a In 2017 Torrid migrated its Oracle Retail Merchandising System to Oracle Retail Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service as a targeted Inventory Management modernization under a company cloud first roadmap. The initiative moved core merchandising and inventory services from on premises infrastructure to a SaaS deployment model, delivering hardware independence and aligning the merchandising stack with broader cloud initiatives across the business. The implementation focused on merchandising and inventory management capabilities common to Inventory Management platforms, including centralized inventory visibility, allocation workflows to support Buy Online Pickup In Store and Ship from Store fulfillment, and merchandising hierarchy and pricing workflows. Torrid also piloted a cloud based pricing module as part of the broader merchandising and markdown price optimization effort, and configured the Foundation Cloud Service to support wholesale product setups used in the Her Universe integration. Oracle Retail Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service was connected into Torrids centralized enterprise data environment, feeding the Enterprise Data Warehouse built on Robling with Snowflake and Looker to replace 17 data marts and 550 siloed reports. The integration enabled self service reporting for executives and reduced report generation from multi hour batch processes to near real time access, while supporting omnichannel operations across e commerce, stores, fulfillment, and wholesale channels. Governance and rollout were executed through an established PMO and enterprise applications organization, with SOX controls incorporated into annual SDLC security reviews and automation of approximately 80 percent of SOX UAR processes. The cloud migration produced explicit run cost savings exceeding $400,000 per year, including roughly $300,000 in license savings and $100,000 in database and server retirement savings, and created an operational foundation supporting subsequent cloud projects and omnichannel initiatives that expanded revenue channels.
