The deployment was positioned to support the companys field and operations workforce across its Columbus, Ohio operations and broader state operations, reflecting a mid enterprise scale with approximately 2,300 employees. The Infor WFM Workbrain implementation focused on core Workforce Management capabilities including crew scheduling, assignment and dispatch workflows, shift and timekeeping configuration, mobile workforce coordination, work preparation and emergency response orchestration. Functional configuration emphasized role based scheduling for scheduling leaders and team leaders, clerical and dispatch workstreams, incident management support tied to ICS responsibilities, and QA QC processes to support regulatory and compliance obligations. Implementation planning included integration touchpoints with existing utility operations systems identified in requirements, with interfaces and data exchange scenarios scoped for systems such as DIS, CIS, WMS, Maximo, ARCOS and Ventyx as operational data sources for work assignment and asset context. The architecture centered on centralized scheduling and assignment orchestration in Infor WFM Workbrain, with downstream operational feeds to mobile crews and upstream feeds from planning and customer program systems to maintain alignment across operations and customer programs teams. Governance and rollout emphasized shared metrics and joint accountability between operations, planning and customer programs, with training and change management targeted at scheduling leaders, dispatch staff and managers responsible for work management. The implementation narrative aligned Infor WFM Workbrain Workforce Management with NiSource operational priorities including compliance across states, visible incident leadership, and the creation of standardized scheduling and dispatch processes to support consistent field execution.
