Colas Rail Limited Construction and Real Estate 2000 $350M United Kingdom Infor Infor Workforce Management Workforce Management 2015 n/a In 2015, Colas Rail Limited deployed Infor Workforce Management, implementing a Workforce Management solution to formalize payroll and timekeeping across its UK operations. The deployment explicitly targeted payroll processing for the Infrastructure division, with shared payroll responsibility for the Urban division, and supported both monthly and four weekly payroll cycles. Infor Workforce Management was configured to support standard workforce management capabilities including time and attendance capture, shift scheduling, absence and leave tracking, payroll interfacing, and payroll audit and variance reporting. Configuration work aligned these modules to the company practice of processing P45s, HMRC new starter checklists, P60s, attachments of earnings and court order deductions, and running monthly overtime and variance reports before finalising payroll. The implementation exchanged data with existing payroll and HR systems that were in use at the time, including PSE Atos Worldline, Workbrain, summit and CORE HR, and its outputs supported payment processing through BACS and CHAPS and submission of National Statistics. Operational coverage included the Infrastructure and Urban divisions and integration points were used to ensure cost coding accuracy through liaison with Finance for budget alignment. Governance and process responsibilities were formalised around a payroll coordinator role acting as first point of contact for payroll queries, execution of the monthly and four weekly payroll audit, and control of exception handling for underpayments, overpayments and emergency payments. Rollout emphasized audit controls, variance checking prior to payroll finalisation, and embedding payroll workflows consistent with the companys existing payroll and reporting activities.
