In 2022 Wintersteiger began deploying the Haiilo Platform as a multilingual social intranet to improve internal communication across more than 30 locations. The project began in September 2022 with a focus on HR and internal communications across Europe and reached production in April 2023.
The Haiilo Platform was configured to serve core Employee Engagement functions including centralized news and announcements, content publishing and employee profile directories, with automatic translation applied to content to reach all staff. Configuration emphasized multilingual content workflows and role based editorial controls to support distributed communication ownership and consistency across sites.
Technical integration centered on synchronizing employee master data from SAP into the Haiilo Platform to provision user profiles and organizational structure, while the SI Kronsteg Germany managed implementation and localization tasks. Operational coverage included HR and internal communications teams across 30 plus locations, yielding approximately 950 active users at go live and strengthening cross location collaboration.
Rollout was delivered as a phased program managed by HR and internal communications, with governance defined for content publication, translation handling and user provisioning tied to SAP master records. The implementation established the Haiilo Platform as Wintersteiger’s Employee Engagement hub for multilingual internal communication across European sites.
