A Payroll Officer documented from November 2010 to May 2011 carried out the day to day payroll and time and attendance workflows using Fusion5 MyWorkplace and Preceda, maintained the general ledger entries and managed third party payment schedules. Governance and process changes centered on stricter timecard controls, automated adherence to pay rules, and shifting validation effort from payroll to system-enforced rules, with administrators and managers using reports for accuracy and compliance. Explicit outcomes reported by Autoliv Canada include immediate cost savings from eliminating internal hosting costs for the previous on-premise Kronos legacy system, reduced administrative tasks with shift leads saving two hours per day in reporting, and documented time savings of 75 percent in timekeeping data collection and pay rule interpretation, 53 percent with employee self-service, 64 percent in annual leave purchase and accrual adjustments, and 67 percent anticipated through additional automation of time-off requests. | |
