Citeo Professional Services 250 $40M France SAP SAP S/4 HANA - Materials Management (MM) Inventory Management 2022 STMS In 2022, Citeo implemented SAP S/4 HANA - Materials Management (MM) through the RISE with SAP S/4HANA Cloud offering, a migration executed by integrator STMS and a dedicated SAP team. The deployment targeted Inventory Management capabilities while preserving the SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Materials Management (MM) functional scope for core financial flows, explicitly retaining SD, MM and FICO areas during the transition. The implementation concentrated on Materials Management configuration and standardization, with a deliberate program to reduce specifics and align processes to SAP S/4 HANA standards. Design and development work occurred between February and May 2022, followed by initial acceptance from May to July, business acceptance in September, and production cutover at the end of September 2022. The SAP S/4 HANA - Materials Management (MM) rollout maintained the SAP GUI to limit user disruption, with a planned phased adoption of Fiori interfaces and reporting elements in subsequent releases. Citeo’s move to SAP S/4HANA Cloud followed an earlier migration of its SAP landscape to Microsoft Azure, and the cloud as-a-service model was selected to consolidate contract management and access built-in disaster recovery capabilities. Integration and operational coverage focused on finance, procurement and management control processes used by Citeo and its subsidiary Adelphe, supporting the organization’s declarations and client servicing workflows across its customer base. STMS acted as the system integrator coordinating technical cutover, validations and post go-live stabilization. Governance was organized through workshops with business managers and ERP users to capture requirements and prioritize a 2023 roadmap, emphasizing process simplification and standard KPI tiles. Planned governance and process changes included reintegrating certain customer reminder processes into the ERP, implementing a closing cockpit, delivering Fiori reporting for management control, and reducing bank reconciliation times by standardizing master data and transaction flows. These measures were framed to return nonstandard capabilities to dedicated tools where appropriate. The project reached production in less than eight months and after nearly three months of operation the new SAP S/4 HANA - Materials Management (MM) system ran without major failures while some issues remained to be resolved. Citeo and STMS positioned the deployment as a rapid technical foundation to enable continued process harmonization and subsequent functional enhancements under SAP S/4HANA Cloud.
Citeo Professional Services 250 $40M France SAP SAP S/4 HANA - Sales and Distribution (SD) Supply Chain Management 2022 STMS In 2022, Citeo implemented SAP S/4 HANA - Sales and Distribution (SD) using the RISE with SAP cloud offer, moving its core ERP into an as-a-service model. The program was executed by integrator STMS and was driven by goals to modernize the ERP, simplify administration under a single contract, gain built‑in disaster recovery, and target an overall operating cost reduction of around 20 percent as stated by the project sponsors, placing the work in the Supply Chain Management category. The implementation scope retained Citeo’s financial and commercial footprint, explicitly covering Sales and Distribution along with adjacent MM and FICO functional areas that had been managed in SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Sales and Distribution (SD). Design and development occurred from February to May 2022, with initial acceptance from May to July, business acceptance in September, and production at the end of September 2022. The project preserved the SAP GUI to limit end user disruption and deferred broader Fiori surface modernization to a subsequent phase, while beginning a deliberate program to reduce custom specifics and align processes closer to SAP S/4 HANA standards. Architecturally the move followed an intermediate step where Citeo had migrated SAP ECC to Microsoft Azure in 2020, then transitioned to SAP S/4 HANA Cloud as a service via RISE with SAP. The new SAP S/4 HANA - Sales and Distribution (SD) deployment functions as the central financial and order to cash hub for Citeo, supporting high volume receivable and payable flows and interfacing with Citeo’s existing declaration and customer advisory toolset as part of the broader information system. Governance and process change were managed through workshops run by STMS with business managers and ERP users to capture requirements and prioritize a 2023 roadmap. Specific rollout decisions included a reduction of custom code from the outset, selective reintegration of certain business processes such as customer reminders, and planned deliverables like Fiori reporting for management control, KPI tiles for accounting, and a closing cockpit to streamline period close activities. The migration to SAP S/4 HANA Cloud was completed in under eight months and moved into production in September 2022. After nearly three months of operation the new ERP experienced no major system failures, though a limited set of issues remained to be resolved and additional process rationalization and Fiori work were scheduled for follow up. SAP S/4 HANA - Sales and Distribution (SD) now serves as Citeo’s Supply Chain Management platform for core commercial and financial operations under STMS project stewardship.
