St 1 Oil, Gas and Chemicals 1000 $8.9B Finland Microsoft Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Supply Chain Management 2021 Digia In 2021, St 1 Nordic implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management as the Supply Chain Management backbone of a company-wide Dynamics 365 ERP harmonization program known internally as Golda. The initiative established Microsoft Dynamics 365 as the single ERP foundation across the organization and positioned Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management to standardize order-to-cash and distribution operations. The implementation deployed Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management to support direct delivery, retail sales order processing, retail station management, and customer invoicing, while Dynamics 365 Finance was implemented in tandem to manage general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, and purchase invoicing. The program included configuration of self-service order management for B2B customers providing 24/7 product availability, near real-time pricing, and order, delivery, and invoice history, and it applied workflow automation to invoice creation and matching. St 1 integrated Dynamics 365 with more than 100 applications, explicitly connecting Salesforce for CRM, Magento for e-commerce, and Kalibrate for POS pricing, and it leveraged Microsoft Power Automate and Power Apps to automate processes. Operational scope covered retail and refinery businesses across Finland, Sweden, and Norway, encompassing the companys network of approximately 1,240 retail stations, and planning workstreams extended to support a new biorefinery coming online in 2023. Governance was formalized through a Dynamics 365 Center of Excellence and implementation partnership with Digia from the Microsoft Cloud Partner Program. Automation use cases included Power Automate workflows for free-text invoice processing and accounting postings, and a Power Apps inventory app that eliminated paperwork for spare parts withdrawals. Reported outcomes tied directly to the implementation include improved cash flow, increased productivity through bringing accounts receivable activities back in-house, enhanced data visibility across finance and operations, higher efficiency in procure-to-pay matching, and elimination of manual inventory paper processes.
