Founded in 2010, APPS RUN THE WORLD is a leading technology intelligence and market-research company devoted to the application space. Leveraging a rigorous data-centric research methodology, we ask the simple B2B sales intelligence question: Who’s buying enterprise applications from whom and why?

Our global team of 50 researchers has been studying the digital transformation initiatives being undertaken by 2 million + companies including technographic segmentation of 10 million ERP, EPM, CRM, HCM, Procurement, SCM, Treasury software purchases, aggregating massive amounts of data points that form the basis of our forecast assumptions and perhaps the rise and fall of certain vendors and their products on a quarterly basis.

Apps Run The World Buyer Insight and Technographics Customer Database has over 100 data fields that detail company usage of emerging technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, IoT, Blockchain, Autonomous Database, and different on-prem and cloud apps by function, customer size (employees, revenues), industry, country, implementation status, year deal won, partner involvement, Line of Business Key Stakeholders and key decision-makers contact details, including the systems being used by Fortune 1000 and Global 2000 companies.

Yorkshire Water Utilities 2750 $1.6B United Kingdom Autodesk Autodesk InfoWorks ICM 3D Modeling 2016 n/a In 2016, Yorkshire Water implemented Autodesk InfoWorks ICM as a 3D Modeling solution to develop integrated catchment and sewer network models for managing flood risk and improving sewer performance. The deployment in the UK comprised multiple InfoWorks ICM licenses to support collaborative model building and scenario testing. Functional configuration emphasized integrated catchment modelling and detailed sewer network simulation, leveraging InfoWorks ICM hydrodynamic modelling and scenario simulation capabilities to validate flood mitigation options. The implementation enabled creation of three dimensional representations of catchments and network nodes, supporting hydraulic simulation and event based analysis consistent with 3D Modeling practices. Workflows included model calibration, scenario comparison, and iterative refinement of mitigation designs. Operational scope covered operations and asset management teams responsible for critical sewer infrastructure across Yorkshire, with model outputs used to inform operational decisions and planning. The multiple license approach allowed shared model repositories and cross team review of mitigation scenarios and sewer performance assessments. Data governance and model version control were instituted to manage iterative simulations and stakeholder approvals. The Autodesk InfoWorks ICM deployment was intended to optimise operation of critical sewer infrastructure, validate solutions for flood mitigation, and increase regulatory compliance and customer service. Governance emphasis focused on standardising modelling workflows and establishing review cycles between engineering, operations, and regulatory liaison functions.
